Turning 2...

Well Lanie will be 2 years old in just a couple of weeks. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Seems like just yesterday she was cooing, rolling over and crawling for the first time. Now she's talking up a storm, jumping, and running. I love to hear her talk and all the funny things she has to say. It's amazing how much stuff you can pack into the brain of such a little person. Bradley and I are so amazed everyday with the things that she can say and do. She is so smart. She can sing her ABC's (along with you), she can count to 10 (sometimes skipping a few numbers, but hey it's still a good job). She's recently picked up on singing. I LOVE to hear her sing!! She doesn't forget anything and will say ANYTHING ( gotta watch your mouth around a 2 year old). We are getting ready for her birthday party, this years theme will be a Tea Party. She loves dressing up (even putting play clothes on her baby dolls) and playing tea party with her baby dolls and stuffed animals.
It's getting late now and Bradley and Lanie have long gone to bed so I guess I better head that way, morning will be here before I know it. Check back often I will try to keep this up and soon post pictures from Lanie's birthday party.

So Here it Goes...

Well I've decided to try out this blogging thing. I thought it would be good way to share pictures of Lanie and all the things she's doing with family and friends. So here it goes...

I'm sitting here remembering, with Lanie's 2nd birthday coming up in just two weeks, the day she arrived, Ocotober 4, 2006. I went in the hopital the night before to be induced and when Dr. Marshall came in to check me the next morning things were not going as planned so a C-Section was sceduled. Everything went well from there and delivery was successful. Lanie was born at 1:22 p.m. and weighed 6lbs. 9.7oz. and measured 19in. We brought Lanie home 2 days later. I was, I will admit, a little scared. What were we going to do with this precious but very fragile little baby? My Mama stayed with us for a while and was a tremendous help. With the help and support of each other and our family and friends Bradley and I have made it through the first 2 years of raising Lanie and it has been the best and most rewarding time of our lives.
