Our Little Piggy

We went trick or treating a day early. The Pig Jig had trick or treating this year so we decided to take Lanie our there. It was alot of fun! I was afraid Lanie wouldn't wear her costume because when it first came in she refused to put it on. I told her yesterday morning that we were going trick or treating and I got her costume and pumpkin bucket out and showed it to her. She had decided by the middle of the day she would wear it, and she DID!! Not only did she wear it but she kept it on the whole time!! I'm posting a few pictures of "our little piggy".

Our Annual Pumpkin

We're a little late but we finally carved our pumpkin tonight. It was cold and windy outside so this activity got moved to our kitchen. It was so much fun watching Lanie. She loved it and was mad when we were done. She kept saying "do it again, do it again".

She couldn't wait to dig in and help

Daddy did a good job carving the ghost

Lanie's 2 year Well Check

Today we took Lanie for her 2 yr. well check. She weighed 24 1/2 lbs. and measured 32 1/2 inches tall. Today's visit was good...see Lanie really hates going to the Dr., she usually cries from the time the Dr. walks in until we leave. Well not too long ago we bought her a play doctor set and I told her this morning she had to go to the Dr. so all day she played doctor with her baby dolls. She even took her baby and the doctor set with her and played while we waited. I think it must have helped her because she didn't cry today, that is until they pricked her finger but that's to be expected.

Pumpkin Patch

When the parade was over we walked down to the pumpkin patch the Methodist Church has every year.

I think she found her pumpkin...she's guarding it.

Big Pig Jig Parade

We took Lanie to the Pig Jig parade downtown this morning. She didn't really know what to think about it, she wasn't so sure about all the loud sirens.

Waking up with Lanie

I have to start off first admitting that Lanie does still sleep with me and Bradley, may be a bad habit but we love having her close to us. It's funny, the only way she will fall asleep is for her to rub her foot under one of our shirt sleeves, so some kids have a blankies or stuffed animals they have to have at bed time Lanie has to have a shirt sleeve.

The best part about waking up next to Lanie is just that, but every morning she starts off by first asking for juice (which really means her milk) and while Bradley gets up to get her milk she rolls over gives me this big grin and says, "I love mama", "I love daddy too" then she gives me a big hug and kiss. Waking up to that every morning is the best thing ever!!

Our Trip to the Fair

We went to fair in Perry late Monday afternoon. My mama went with us and once there we met up with Angie & Trey (my sister & brother-in-law) and some friends, Lindsay, Philip & their daughter (Lanie's friend) Cason. Lanie was so excited about going to the fair with "KK" (Cason). We had a really good time and Lanie was even big enough this year to ride some rides. She rode one ride and went down the big slide. She also got to see the cows (she's obsessed with cows) then all the other animals in the petting zoo. We had a blast!! Can't wait for next year, she says everyday, "Lanie go back fair, go back".

Happy 2nd Birthday, Lanie!!

Lanie turned 2 yesterday...I can't believe how fast the past 2 years have gone by!! We had been telling her all week that her birthday was on Saturday, so when she woke up yesterday morning I told her Happy Birthday and that it was Saturday, she then looked at me with a big smile and said "Happy Birday, Lanie", so sweet!!

She's really into tea parties so this year the theme was a dress-up tea party. The party turned out great and Lanie had a really good time.
